Polish bomber crew buried with military honours

Two crew members of Vickers Wellington M. 1C R1322 of Poland’s Second World War 305 Squadron were buried with military honours at Nieuwe Ooster cemetery in Amsterdam. The bomber they were in was shot down over IJsselmeer on 9 May 1941.

Service members bring relief supplies to the Caribbean

Numerous service members spent the week providing emergency assistance in the Caribbean following the passage of Hurricane Irma. Naval vessels and air force transport aircraft brought a large quantity of relief supplies to Sint Maarten. The military aircraft also picked up passengers from the stricken island.

In addition, service members assisted in maintaining order and safeguarding the recovery process.
