A great deal of work has gone and still goes into the accessibility, quality of design and findability of the “Defensie.nl” website. The overall aim is to ensure that all of the information is presented in such a way that it is available to everyone and can be used by everyone.
Pursuant to the Government Websites Quality Decree, Defensie.nl was built in accordance with the Web Guidelines Quality Model. These guidelines are based on international agreements about accessibility, sustainability, inter-changeability and findability of websites.
The website is reviewed against the web guidelines every year. On the basis of the evaluation conducted in 2011, the website has qualified for the “no threshold” quality mark.
