Military Hydrography

The military Plans, Operations, Meteorology & Oceanography (POM) Division and the Maritime Environmental Information Centre (MEIC), which is part of the Netherlands Hydrographic Service, are responsible for all preparation activities in the field of Hydrography, Meteorology and Oceanography. This includes preparation of policy, design of requirements regarding personnel and equipment, monitoring hydrographic standards and cooperating with both national partner organisations and international hydrographic organisations as well as within NATO.
