The Dutch Carribean Coastguard (DCCG)
The Dutch Carribean Coastguard carries out policing and service-oriented duties.
It is a separate organisation operating under the auspices of the Minister of Defence and under the command of the Flag Officer Caribbean.
The Coastguard Centre is located on the Parera Naval Base in Curaçao. The Centre coordinates day-to-day activities, as well as search and rescue operations. The Dutch Carribean Coastguard also maintains bases on Aruba and St. Martin.
The Dutch Carribean Coastguard has three coastguard cutters and a large number of smaller units. The Netherlands West Indian Guard Ship is mainly deployed for coastguard operations.
