RNLM Trumpet Corps
The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee Trumpet Corps was established on 12 April 1950 and is one of six military bands in the Netherlands. The Trumpet Corps is a part-time brass band consisting of professional, semi-professional and highly skilled amateur musicians, all of whom are military personnel and who are associated with the Trumpet Corps of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee in various ways.
Some of the musicians are career soldiers, who hold full-time positions in the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. There are also military personnel on fixed-term contracts and reservists. They only serve with the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee as musicians and work with the band for an average of 2 days a week.

The Trumpet Corps performs around 75 times a year, both in the Netherlands and abroad. The performances include accompanying military ceremonies, such as swearing-in ceremonies, change-of-command ceremonies and medal awards, both within the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee and in a wider Defence context. In addition, the Corps also plays concerts, military tattoos, marches and provides the musical accompaniment at remembrance services.
The Trumpet Corps performs every year at National Veterans’ Day, the opening of the parliamentary year, and the International Four Days’ Marches in Nijmegen. In addition, the Trumpet Corps has participated in several tattoos all over the world, including those in Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Denmark, Canada, Finland and, of course, the Netherlands.

The birthplace of the Trumpet Corps is the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee National Centre for Training and Expertise (formerly the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee Training Centre), located at the ‘Koning Willem III’ Barracks in Apeldoorn. Due to lack of space at this location, the Trumpet Corps moved to the 'Prins Maurits' Barracks in Ede on 1 January 2005. The Corps currently has around 60 members and the general director is Captain Coos Peters. The musical director is Captain Erik Janssen. The drum-major is Warrant Officer Marc Gouswaart.
