They transported Dutch containers and vehicles from Camp Hadrian in Deh Rawod to the former Camp Holland (now Multinational Base Tarin Kowt) in Tarin Kowt.

Security on the ground during the 70-km movement was provided by the US 12 Stryker brigade. While Dutch armoured engineers concentrated on IED detection, Royal Netherlands Air Force Apache attack helicopters kept a vigilant eye from the air.

The first convoy will be followed by a number of follow-up convoys to the former Camp Holland, from where the equipment will be shipped to the Netherlands. The first shipments that were handled by the RDTF have already arrived in the Netherlands.

Recovery of the bulk of the military equipment is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
