The military music of the Royal Netherlands Army consists of four bands.
They provide the musical accompaniment to ceremonial and other formal occasions both within and outside the army. Examples are changes of command, swearing-in ceremonies, commemoration ceremonies, state visits and the official opening of Parliament. The bands also give concerts and perform at tattoos both in the Netherlands and abroad.
The repertoire consists of military marching music, original brass music for brass and wind orchestras, and light music. In addition to performances in the standard orchestra configuration, the musicians also perform in smaller ensembles, such as big bands and ensembles of varying composition.
- Band of the Netherlands Mounted Regiments
- Royal Netherlands Army Band ‘Johan Willem Friso’
- Regimental Brass Ensemble of the Grenadiers and Rifles
- Brass Ensemble of the National Reserve Corps
