Military Aviation Museum
The Military Aviation Museum brings the history of military aviation alive, from its early beginnings, to the present day. This is done with the help of unique photographic material, documents, objects of art and uniforms. Visitors can also check out historic and modern aircraft and helicopters on display in the museum hangar.
Video footage, continuous film showings, and interactive presentations show the art of flying and the technology of the aircraft. At the Flying Center you can watch and read, as well as getting ‘hands-on’ yourself. Some of the subjects that are dealt with in detail are: what is flight, how do you fly a helicopter and how are pilots taught to fly.
The Military Aviation Museum is open:
- From Tuesday through Friday : from 10.00 to 16.30 hrs;
- Sundays, Easter Monday, Ascension Day and Whitsun Monday: from 12.00 to 16.30 hrs.
The Museum is closed on: Mondays, Saturdays, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Queen’s Birthday, Pentecost, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
